The verse I will be talking about is Proverbs 3:5-6 which states “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” The reason I chose this verse is because I feel like this verse really explains a lot about trust in just 2 verses. This verse talks about how we need to first of all trust in the Lord with all your heart. I’d like to expand on this more because I feel like trusting something that we can’t even see is one of the hardest things to do, but as Christians we need to trust that God knows what He’s doing. We must continue to trust Him even when it gets very difficult to. Sometimes we may go through something, and you may have been praying and praying for God to help you, but yet this problem you’re going through is not getting better. Times like this you may think that you have been praying and talking to nobody. You may think that He doesn’t care or just doesn’t want to listen to you. None of that is true. God cares and he hears every prayer. You just have to be patient and keep praising and worshiping Him. In the verse It says do not lean on your own understanding. This part of the verse is very important because if we lean on our own understanding of things then we are not living the Godly life that God wants us to live. If we don’t lean on God’s understanding of things, then we won’t make it to heaven. If we do lean on God’s understanding of things, then we will make it to place filled with fellow Christians, ultimate peace and more importantly God. The last thing it mentions in the verse is in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths. This verse is basically saying to put God first in your life over everything. This is including school, work, friends, and family, and if you do that, He will guide you. He will put you on the right path to unlock the doors to heaven as long as you trust in his plans.
