Power of God’s Love
There are many verses in the bible that talk about God’s love. I thought I would focus on a passage of scripture that has stuck with me.
Romans 8:38-39 New International Version (NIV) 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
I love this passage of scripture. Verse 38 starts by saying neither death nor life, which is saying doesn’t matter if we are dead or alive, it won’t separate us from the love of God. Then it continues on and says neither angels nor demons, which is saying doesn’t matter the good or bad that we have done, it won’t separate us from the love of God. Then verse 38 says the present nor the future, which is saying it doesn’t matter what we are doing or what we are going to do, it won’t separate us from the love of God. Verse 38 ends with nor any powers, which is saying no special abilities can separate us from the love of God.
Now we are in verse 39 which beautifully wraps up this thought in Romans. Verse 39 starts by saying neither height nor depth, which is saying doesn’t matter how close, far, and deep our relationship with God is, it won’t separate us from the love of God. Verse 39 concludes with nor anything in all creation can separate us from the love of God, which is saying that nothing and no one can separate us from the love of our God, lord and savior.
I think this verse is a great reminder of the power and the strength of our savior’s love for us. It doesn’t matter what we say or do God will still love us. I encourage you to hold this passage of scripture close to your heart and never forget God’s love for you.
Thanks,
Amber
