Trust: Jeremiah 17:5-7

“GOD ’s Message: “Cursed is the strong one who depends on mere humans, Who thinks he can make it on muscle alone and sets GOD aside as dead weight. He’s like a tumbleweed on the prairie, out of touch with the good earth. He lives rootless and aimless in a land where nothing grows. But blessed is the man who trusts me, God…”
‭‭~Jeremiah‬ ‭17:5-7‬ ‭MSG‬‬
The more you continuously lack trust in God, the more problems bad habits you begin create within your own spiritual life which most can agree, this goes without saying. Since I’m a big sports guy, I like using analogies. To put things into perspective, 6-time NBA Champion and arguably the Greatest basketball player, Micheal Jordan was a basketball savant, and could do pretty much everything on the basketball the correct way. On many occasions before his route to his Six NBA championship runs, Micheal Jordan struggled as he tried to pursue championships because he was relying on his own talents, strengths, & abilities, and quickly he realized that he had reached his “cap” or max on success on the basketball court. Once he was able to trust his teammates and pass the ball more, he stated to win, immensely! He trusted his teammates, and he it all worked out.
Just like in our relationship with God, we need to ask ourselves, do we trust in our God whom we place our faith? Or do we put our confidence and COMPLETE trust behind things like our bank balance, or achievements, or friends/families, or even ourselves? When we try to do everything ourselves, the maximum amount of things we can accomplish are limited, but when we put complete trust and faith in Christ, then there is no limits since God is in control. That is a beautiful and awesome feeling, so daily just try to evaluate yourself and ask yourself if you truly trust in God or in everything else BUT God.
God Bless,
