Love is important
1 Corinthians 13:13 says, “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” How is it that love is the most important out of these three? Love deals with our motives. We can do a lot of things but if they are not done out of love then they are for the wrong reason. If we are not doing things out of love then we are doing them out of self righteousness. A great man that is all about love is Paul. We can see throughout all of his letters a message of love. The greatest example of love is Jesus Christ. He did not come to earth and condemn. The only people he condemned were the people who thought they were good enough to earn God’s favor and righteousness. Jesus brought love to the broken and helpless. He loved the people that nobody else wanted. He put every human at the same level and loved them all. Being like Christ would mean also loving like this without condemning. There is no greater love than the love of Christ.
